Jupiter is FIV positve which means he will have to live indoors only. He is nine years old and came from North London.
Jupiter’s previous owner saw our sanctuary online and loved the look of it so she handed him over to us in January 2018. He grew up in a colony of cats so he is not used to living in a house. She had visions of him being homed to a farm where he can live out his days happily catching rats and mice. Sadly, blood tests proved Jupiter to be FIV positive so he will have to live as an indoor cat. He has a lovely personality and is a friendly and confident boy. He needs time to gain your trust and loves affection and will head rub you to his hearts content. This last few weeks have been a struggle for Jupiter where he had an abscess on his tooth. After treatment and lots of rest and recuperation in the sick bay, he rejoined his FIV friends but he is not happy and getting bullied and stopped eating. He is back in the sick bay but he desperately needs a new home. It will take him a while to settle and he will be nervous, wary and will want to hide but we hope he will be a lovely pet. Do you have the time and patience for him? If you do, come up and meet him.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you all have a lovely day. Thank you for your support.
We are closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day but all of us staff will come in extra early to care for the cats and finish early. We will dish out the turkey to them on Christmas Day.

*****UPDATE****

Because some of our cats are on special diets or fussy, we gave them their normal food and a nice big serving of turkey on the side. Almost every single cat ate all of the turkey! There was even enough turkey to give them on Boxing Day and they ate all of that too!

Every Christmas Day we have fresh roast turkey crowns which we have cooked and dish out to all of the cats in our care. They love it! We are asking you to donate to our turkey fund so we can buy as many turkeys as we can in the run up to Christmas. You can do this by stuffing our turkey on our counter in the reception with any loose change, by sending a cheque or via PayPal stating Cats Turkey Dinner. Your donation will be very gratefully received. Thank you.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who donated and to Mandy the Traditional Butchers in Hythe.

Our turkey fund was a huge success and we dished it out to every single cat in our care. We gave them their normal food with a nice big serving of turkey on the side and all of the plates were licked clean the next day. We even had enough turkey to give to them on Boxing Day too.
